A conference held at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, April 13-14, 2007

Transcripts (14 pages) of handwritten notes taken by R. Decker, with some later “in flight” assessments on the way home, and a few blog links etc. added later. The outlines included in the pdf file were taken from the handouts where they were available.
Conference speakers (in order of presentations): Dan Wallace, Maurice Robinson; J. K. (Keith) Elliott; David Alan Black, Darrell Bock
There have been many blog posts with comments on the conference. I won’t try to list them all, but here are a few (and each have links to others). The first two are both by students at SEBTS, so their perspective seems to (understandably) favor their own profs' views—and perhaps they have heard more from Drs. Robinson and Black on the subject than the rest of us, which may enable them to connect their profs' dots more easily. Some of the student comments do not reflect an understanding of some of the points made by Wallace, Elliott, and Bock. But it will give you a different perspective from mine... :)

Dave Black (one of the presenters) mentions some blog posts on his own 4/17/07 post, as well as includes a few comments on 4/16/07 with some perspective on what influences have shaped his thinking. His main "photo report" in dated 4/14/07. (No way I know to link to specific posts on Dave's blog; you just have to scroll through the l-o-n-g page to find the date (or visit the archives for a previous month). Dave does mention on the blog a discussion with two editors from Broadman and Holman (who were at the conf) about publishing the papers from the conference. That would be good idea. The papers would be worth reading with greater care than can be had with an oral presentation--especially for those that did not have even an outline handout. (I might even be able to follow Maurice's argument if I had it in writing! :)
Dave has been an ardent advocate of blogging, so it’s not surprising to see many of his students doing just that. http://daveblackonline.com/blog.htm
And there is a report on the Evangelical Textual Criticism blog (a high-level discussion blog with good content): https://www2.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=17859011&postID=7823952574683446173

These pages use Unicode UTF-8 encoding; most Greek text is now in Unicode format, though some remnants of the older, non-standard Galilee encoding remain. You should not have difficulties viewing this material if you have a relatively current web browser and a font that contains polytonic Greek. Certain disclaimers apply. Please note that I am unable to serve as a Q & A resource. As my schedule permits, I will attempt to answer questions related specifically to my own writings posted on this site, but I cannot answer general Bible or Greek questions from anyone who is curious.
